Living on the Trent Severn Waterway affords us 386 km of navigable boating on a healthy water system that allows us to take advantage of excellent fishing. These tasty fish were caught in the morning and fried up for our dinner that evening. The fillets were so fresh that they practically melted in our mouths! Kudos to my 10 year old who caught the lion's share of this haul. He's even learning the art of boning and filleting from our next door neighbour who's been catching his dinner for over 60 years on these lakes!

#43 of 101 things I love about living in Bridgenorth and the Kawarthas
The 4th Line Theatre in Millbrook has been unearthing local tales and history in dramatic form for 20 years. My family and I had a great time at the theatre on Friday night watching one of the last performances of the hilarious comedy The Berlin Blues. Since photos are not allowed during the performance, you'll have to imagine the actors on this quaint stage on the Winslow Farm. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful sunset over the rolling hills of Cavan, as we made our way to the car in the parking lot. http://www.4thlinetheatre.on.ca/
